Every year thousands of people get on the internet searching for there next get rich scheme. Many of these searchers find what they are looking for and many end up with empty pockets. What are the keys to finding the right vending business? Revive Mints has released a helpful buyers guide to buying a vending business.
1) Make sure you are investing in a real company? Sounds easy enough, but plenty of vending companies put up fancy websites and then don’t have the actually inventory to fulfill your orders.
2) Make sure you are getting new machines. Buying used machines online usually leads to disaster. Most used machines don’t come with a warranty and the manufacturer will typically not honor a warranty that has been transferred. Typically used machines are in poor shape and wont perform to your liking. With any mechanical equipment it is always smart to pay a little more and invest in new equipment.
3) Make sure vending is right for you, vending is an all cash business that requires you to go out of the house and refill your machines, collect your money etc. Vending is not a sit at home and do nothing business. While it could be highly profitable, it’s not a get rich scheme and requires work just like any other opportunity.
4) Start with light portable machines that will allow you to easily relocate them. The nice thing about vending is it lets you easily relocate machines to find the best performing locations. Investing in heavy mechanical machines can be cumbersome and make it difficult to relocate an under performing machine.
Vending can be a great business, just make sure you do your research and decide that vending is the right business for you. When looking at different opportunities, check out the BBB, ask to talk to some of the companies current route owners. Ask about the training and support involved. With the proper tools and machines a vending business can be a very profitable venture.
